Roof Replacement
We handle the whole replacement from permits to final inspection. Our Secor office pulls the permit, coordinates the dumpster, runs the crew, and schedules the building inspector. You sign the contract and we handle the rest.
Roof Repair
Step flashing at chimney walls is the number one leak source we see in Secor. Improper step flashing causes roof leaks. It's that simple. We install new step flashing with a chimney cricket for proper water diversion, sealed with Geocel tripolymer sealant. Fix it once, fix it right.
Storm Damage Repair
Hail, wind, fallen branches. Illinois storms do real damage to roofs. We respond within 24 hours, tarp exposed areas to prevent further damage, and start your insurance claim with a detailed inspection report.
New Roof Installation
Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles with Scotchgard algae protection. Ideal for Illinois humidity. We also install Tamko Heritage laminated shingles for budget-conscious builds and Malarkey Vista AR with Flexor SBS polymer-modified asphalt for high-wind zones. Your installer should match your material choice to your climate, not just your budget.
Metal Roofing
Metal roofing in Illinois makes sense. It reflects heat, handles high winds, and sheds hail better than shingles. We install standing seam, corrugated, and metal shingle panels.
Shingle Roofing
GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles with StrikeZone nailing area. The highest-selling shingle in North America. Impact-rated to UL 2218 Class 4 when installed with the full GAF Roof System. Our Secor crews install Timberline in the full system configuration to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty. ASTM D3462 and D7158 Class H certified.
Flat Roofing
We repair and install flat roofs on Secor homes, garages, commercial buildings, and additions. TPO for reflectivity, EPDM for budget, PVC for chemical resistance near restaurants and kitchens.
Commercial Roofing
TPO is our most-requested commercial membrane in Illinois. Reflective, energy-efficient, and it welds together at the seams for a watertight bond. We install 60-mil and 80-mil systems with 15-20 year manufacturer warranties.
Gutter Installation
Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts. That's the premium install. We solder joints on-site using 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper develops a natural patina in Illinois's climate within 5-7 years. For aluminum, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless with Raytec hidden hangers rated to hold 25 lbs per linear foot of ice and debris load.
Roof Inspection
Infrared moisture scanning available for Secor commercial and flat roof inspections. Thermal imaging locates trapped moisture in the insulation layer without cutting core samples. We use Flir E8 cameras to map wet areas, then core sample only the suspect zones to confirm. Saves time, reduces disruption, and gives you a precise repair scope instead of a guess.
Emergency Roof Repair
Emergency tarping is the first priority. We cover the exposed area to stop water entry, then schedule the permanent repair once conditions allow. We don't charge extra for emergency tarp jobs. It's part of the repair cost.
Skylight Installation
A skylight installed wrong will leak. The flashing has to integrate with the shingle courses. Step flashing on the sides, headwall flashing on top, and a sill pan underneath. We use manufacturer flashing kits because they're engineered to work with the skylight frame.
